Sr. Consultant - Tax Accounting



Position Responsibilities:

: Position responsibilities include defining and documenting requirements, managing system implementation, and participating in testing related to taxing changes. Position will interface with Transaction Tax Research Team and various IT billing teams regarding the implementation of taxing rules in Verizon's billing systems, both Verizon Core and Verizon Business. Position will be responsible for interacting with various billing system groups and product line management groups with respect to the implementation of taxing rules related to Verizon's new product offerings. In addition, the position will interact with various IT billing teams regarding the migration / conversion billing systems from a tax perspective, tax engines, and special projects regarding tax related implementations in the various billing systems.

Required Skills and Experience:

* 5 to 7 years of experience working with IT Billing systems.
* Knowledge of Tax Engines within IT billing systems.
* Strong systems background.

Desired Skills and Experience

* Experience / knowledge in the Transaction Tax area.
* Experience with System architecture
