Specialist - Tax



Position Responsibilities:

:
* Prepare federal, state, and local income and franchise tax returns and estimates for corporations.
* Provide data for federal and state audits.
* Maintain and monitor calendar for compliance and accounting due dates.
* Perform preliminary research on technical issues to formulate a basis for tax return filing positions.
* Prepare monthly tax provision entries, SFAS 109 reports, account reconciliations, Trueups and effective tax rate analysis.

Required Skills and Experience:

* Minimum of four years experience in federal and state income tax preparation and tax accounting.
* General knowledge of income tax laws, income tax accounting under SFAS 109, and GAAP rules.
* Strong analytical skills and organized work habits.
* Strong PC skills, especially in the use of excel.
* Strong written and oral communications skills.

Desired Skills and Experience

* Experience in CorpTax tax preparation software and SAP/PeopleSoft general ledger a plus.
* Big Four accounting firm and/or large corporation tax department experience with emphasis on companies subject to multi-state taxation desired.
